Breastfeeding is the natural way to feed your baby. It provides the correct nutrients for growth and development. It can minimize allergies such as asthma and eczema, and also dental disease. It gives protection from infections such as respiratory and ear infections and sickness and diarrhoea, and optimizes early visual and brain development.

Breastfeeding is also better for your own health by helping to get your figure back and reducing the risk of breast cancer, and in later life, osteoporosis (softening of the bones).
